From the heart of Beit Fajjar, near Bethlehem, Taqaqta is reviving Palestinian heritage through the timeless art of embroidery. Working hand-in-hand with women from her town, Taqaqta leads a collective that creates breathtaking pieces of traditional Palestinian tatreez. Each embroidery they craft carries generations of memory, identity, and resistance — embroidery into garments, accessories, and home décor.
Through her work, Mai empowers local women economically and culturally, turning threads into both beauty and strength. Her creations are more than just embroidery — they are stories told with a needle and thread, stitched with pride and purpose from Palestine.
